Dachshund puppies have never had a waist since we got them at 8 weeks.
Is there a way to know if my Dachshund puppies are over weight, or do they slim down with age? They never had the slim waist line I see on the weight charts. Is there a way to help slim them down?

They're chubby because they're babies. They will likely slim down as they get older. That said, a distended tummy that looks full all the time may indicate roundworms. As with any animal, they need to be evaluated by your vet after you bring them home.
