Ok you can give Bran Go to the store and buy Bran flakes Sprinkle some of that onto your dogs food everyday it helps my mom puts it on her dogs food every morning. You can look her dogs up and talk to her about she knows tons on it since her one dog always has this sort of problem well not always but a lot of the time
Fantasia Moon who is a Sheltie or Brittania Ice who is a Bichon Frise.

But definitely Bran flakes will help keep your dog regulated in the number 2 area Ok. Try that and see what happens.. Also pls talk to my mom on here she can help you most probably.

Dogs are rarely constipated without an underlying reason.

If you're confident you know the reason for this condition and you feel he's not in any danger, try giving him some canned pumpkin. The plain kind, without any additives, just plain pumpkin puree. For a small dog, try just a tablespoon or so added to his food. It is fairly gentle and won't cause an upset tummy.

If you're NOT sure what is causing this problem, then you need to take him to the vet in order to diagnose the symptom.

Dog who are straining or appear constipated can have an intestinal blockage, which is dangerous and life threatening.

There may be many other reasons for the constipation, but if you're not sure, you should probably treat it as though it is the worst case scenario just to make sure you cover all the bases.

Never hurts to be overly cautious when you're not 100% sure what is causing something.
