They do need to be vaccinated for rabies and will probably be quarantined. You will also have to check with your state and local laws which vary depending on where you live.

The only thing you need to have to bring a dog into the States from Canada is the rabies shot. You are best to make sure you have all documents from the vet that is had been seeing to show at the border and for the vet you are planing on using in the States.

We brought Vivace into Canada from the States and she had kennel cough at the time. They allowed her in no problem. Plus my sister travels across all the time going to shows. All she needs to show is prof that all the dogs have their rabies shots.
