Breeding two merle's (any kind of merle, or the Australian Shepherd breed) together often result in a double merle, and there is a high chance a double merle will be deaf and/ or blind.
Breeding a merle with a non merle is considered safe.

I cant tell in the picture you have, try posting more. And I agree with the other poster, breeding two merles CAN result in double merles, not will. Hope this helped, best regards!

Unless your dog is either a superb stock dog or an excellent example of the breed there is no reason to be breeding it. Your dog is a merle and especially with a merle breeding should be left to the experts.
