Can Manure for your grass be toxic to dogs?

We recently put fertalizer in our back yard and layed out grass sod so our dogs can enjoy the grass. They both love it but pulled up one piece and my older boxer seemed to eat alot of it. Today she wasn't acting herself. Sleeping alot and not eating or drinking much water. Later in the afternoon, she vomitted. She took another nap, then started eating and drinking water and acting very hyper and then started playing normal. Her bowl movements are normal. It was just the vomiting and the sleeping and not eating and drinking that concerned me. She seems normal now. Is it possible she got a tummy ache from the fertilizer?
