I'm not sure. Maybe if it's an allergic reaction? Some dogs, like mine, are allergic to flea bites. However the reaction my dog had was not puss-filled pimples. (My dog gets scabs from biting himself when he has fleas. Last year this eventually resulted in an infection. It would have been less expensive if we had brought him to the vet sooner. The vet told us he's allergic to flea bites, so that's what I'm going on.)

Call the vet up and see if they can tell you anything about it over the phone. They may decide that scheduling an appointment would be best.
