Duke

In any breed the female can be come aggressive when in heat.

The best thing is to get her spayed BEFORE this happens.

Most females will go through an aggressive time either just before or during heat. It is the surge of hormones that can cause this. Use extra caution with her during this time, not just because she is pit bull, any dog with teeth can bite. Just be aware that she may become snappy and certain things that she tolerated well may now annoy her during this time.

Dogs can change a bit during their heat, but they should always know who their pack leader is and they should never become snappy. If you are a responsible dog owner then you would have your dog spayed for her sake and for yours. Every time you let your dog go into heat, you increase her chances of ovarian and mammory gland cancer greatly.

easy.
Some HUMAN ladies get aggressive when their time of the month arrives, why would it be different in animals!?
So yes.
Take precautions- be polite and don't ask much of her.
And get her fixed. She's probably agitating all manner of males for quite a radius!
