Are you able to crate or kennel an Native American Indian Dog? I was told no. Does anyone own one of these dogs?

I can't see why not. There is a NAID named Fezzik that posts in forums sometimes, I think they use a crate.
Any breed of dog can be crated (especially if trained to it from a young age) even most wolfdogs. NAIDs are low-content WDs at most (that's debatable, but likely they have some wolf in them), the rest is Malamute, Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, and maybe some Collie. All these breeds are capable of crating.
If you were told they are uncratable, I would chalk that up to someone trying to play up the "mystical" "freedom-loving" nature of these dogs. Siberian Huskies sure love freedom too (just ask any Sibe owner...) but crates are commonly used with that breed.
Here is a crate-training tutorial from a wolfdog website (yes it can be done!)
