Any suggestions on how to make a plane trip more comfortable?

I'm going to be flying on an airplane (cargo) with my mom this December, and I've never done it before, so does anyone have any suggestions for my mom? I heard cargo areas are freezing, so I should wear a jacket, right? What other stuff should we have inside my carrier?

I flew cargo from Seattle all the way to Frankfurt, Germany back in May. Mommy doesn't know about the jacket as it was Summer when I flew. However, she did make my carrier super comfy. Mommy added two of my favorite toys, two blankies and 2 absorbant pads under the blankies.

Mommy also says different airlines have different requirements for food/water in the kennel. We were allowed to tape a ziploc bag of food on the top of the carrier and then they gave him water and some food at the layover in Chicago:)

GL on your trip!!!!!!!
