Akita puppy not eating

My 12 week old Akita pup isn't eating today.
What can I do?

If he acts ill in any other way call your vet.
If he pees, poos and seems comfortable then wait and give him time to get his appetite back.

Some dogs even at a young age regulate how much they need to eat. It looks like they are finicky, but they just seem to know when they had enough.

How long have you had it? Some times with a new home and perhaps new food, they don't eat. Usually it is best to stick to what the breeder is feeding. Otherwise, pepper may be right. if you have had it a few weeks and have been giving it too much, it may have decided not to eat.

You should be feeding a puppy chow now. Switching to an adult chow for the larger breeds at 4 months, slows growth and helps develop sturdier joints.

Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs. If he has not had a regular puppy check up it would be a great time to take him in for the usual stuff and make sure they know about him not eating.
That could be many things including worms.
