Dogs don't start having regular potty control until they are between 4 and 6 months old. So, they can't help it when they have accidents. They just don't have the control yet. With that said, if your consistent with taking your puppy out often, (after waking up, after eating, after playing and many times in between) then you shouldn't have any trouble training him/her. Good luck with your new puppy!

It depends on how seriously you take it. If you train everyday, your Puppy will be Pottry-Trained just as you expected!
For him to get the idea? Depends. But it could be months before he is reasonably trustable.
