4 month old puppy had loose stool for the last 3 days, and now has very watery stool

My pug pup recently had his vaccinations and had a reaction. The vet put him on Temaril-P with a tapering dose. He started getting somewhat loose stool about that time (the stool wasn't completely solid, but wasn't watery). I'm assuming the loose stool was due to the Temaril-P since nothing else in his diet has changed, but today it's gotten much worse. Basically very watery with no apparent solid material. I'm just now down to half a pill every other day for 3 days.

He's still very playful and seems to have a normal appetite, and he's still drinking fine. He is also pooping on a normal schedule (the diarrhea isn't constant). Should I be more worried than I already am, should I wait another 24 hours to see if things clear up on their own?

No need to worry as long as he is getting enough fluids. Dogs get it so much we would go broke everytime we ran them to the vet for it..

Give your pup 1cc of either kaopectate, or pepto and do it after each runny stool. His stool should be back to normal by the next day..

Also during this time you have to with hold kibble, so go to your vet and get the canned dog food for stomach upset. It will have rice in it (mostly) and it is pretty hard because there is not a lot of water in it. Feed this for 2 days and then slowly add the regular kibble back in for 2 more days.

Or you can feed ground chicken cooked with rice added in, you want at least half and half, a little more rice is ok too.

I really dont know if diarrhea is a thing to be worried about, my dog Tyson gets it all the time, he poops on schedule, but it is diarrhea. You know him better than anyone, so you should decide if you think it is serious. If you are worried, call the vet, just to ask and see what they say. I know how expensive vets are *trust me* Tyson just had a $1200 surgery to remove a corn cobb from his intestines. So I know it is impossible to take them to the vet over every vomit or weird poop, even though we would love to. Does he usually tell you if something is not right with them? I know they cant say "Hey mom I need to go to the doctor, somethings wrong here" *(dont we wish they could) but I know Tyson looks at me different, and lays with me more than usual like he is saying somethings not right. I hope everything works out, keep me posted!
