2 year old female GSD hates crates. How can I get her to stay in one after her spay surgery?

Before you say send her to a rescue let me say that she was badly abused so she is very fearful of people and other dogs. It takes her a month to warm up to where she will even wag her tail and allow people to touch her. She was a stray before a friend found her in his yard. He kept her and fed her then she found her way to us. He will take her home she jumps the fence and comes back here so he has left her here with us. She sleeps loose on a bed at the foot of ours. The landlord is allowing her to be inside along with our doberman. The shepherd is going in for a spay in a couple weeks.. The vet that gave her a checkup thought she was spayed but shes not.I know she will need 2 weeks crate rest after the spay but how do you get a dog into a crate when they hate to go into a crate? We have tried doing the treats in the crate and everything else she still will not go into the crate. All the other dogs are trained to go into the crates with either the "bed or Kennel up" command but not her

Mine didn't need to be crated for two weeks after her spay surgery, and she's a high-energy dog. In part, she policed herself because she was really sore for the first week. After that, I only took her out to walk her and I prompted her every time she got fired up. She's terrified of crates, does not calm down, and will injure herself trying to escape, so there was no crating or kenneling her, at all, ever. If need be, your vet may be able prescribe a sedative. Best of luck.
