11 month old puppy not listening any more!

I got my Yorkie when she was just 6 weeks old. Up until probably two months ago she was a really good listener. She came when she was called and listened when I told her "no" no matter what. Now she just doesn't want to listen. Even when I tell her she will get "hotdog" (and yes she knows what that means) she looks at me and then a couple seconds later just ignores me and goes on about her business. I have noticed that sometimes she won't listen because she needs to go "potty" and then she does that real quick and comes in, but sometimes she just won't listen, for no reason at all. Today she also kept running from me when I tried to pick her up from outside. Finally after 15 minutes I got her to com e into the garage, and then I took her in the house. Will she grow out of this? She'll be 1 year on the 1st of March. Please help! Thanks.

She is going through adolesence. She is testing her boundries. Just be firm with the rules. I also recommend a leash so she doesn't run off.

Yes, I agree with the 1st poster & I also think she's GOT YOUR NUMBER...LOLOL!! She is a smart puppy & has watched you carefully..all your verbal & NONVERBAL cues. She knows when she can get YOU to do things for her (Like all of us pet parents do) I would suggest training her one task at a time. Start with what is the most important to you & stick to it till she gets it..then go to the next. Positive reinforcement works best, imo. It may take a little time but it is so worth it!!
