SAN FRANCISCO, September 7, 2005 -- Dogster, Inc. announced today that it has launched subscription services for its award-winning pet communities Dogster.com and Catster.com. The service is aptly named DogsterPlus and CasterPlus respectively.
For $19.95 per year or $3.50 per month Plus users are allowed up to 50 photos, a photo book, captions, custom photo frames, a photo managing tool, a special forums area, custom bio-fields, a Plus member stroll and more. The premium feature set soft-launched in mid-June and Dogster, Inc. has already won over more than 500 subscribers.
"DogsterPlus and CatsterPlus are great additions to our sites," said Ted Rheingold, CEO, in a prepared statement, "the Plus members want premium features and they want to support Dogster and Catster. The non-Plus members will still get the excellent free features and services they have come to expect. Everyone is happy and some of our operating expenses are covered by the subscriptions."
Dogster.com launched in January 2004. Catster.com in August 2004. The sites are owned by Dogster, Inc., a private company. The sites combine for over 100,000 members and 8 to 10 million page views per month.
